Richard Weiss has decades of experience in the production of the original Kalei press nut, which is exclusively made in Germany. The Kalei press nut can be used as a threaded element in sheets of 1 mm or more. It is suitable for all metal constructions as well as a part of the plastics processing industry.
First, the Kalei press nut is hammered into a conventionally drilled or punched hole by means of a hammer blow - or pressed in by means of mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic presses. The specially designed collar gives the nut a firm hold and protects it from axial displacement as well as from twisting.
We produce Kalei press nuts with metric threads in the standard sizes M to M20. Special sizes with higher collar dimensions for use in light metals, plastics or with inch threads are available on request. Kalei press nuts by Richard Weiss are precision-machined, case-hardened, zinc-plated and blue-passivated. Special surfaces such as yellow-chromated, copper-plated, nickel-plated – and many more – are all available on request from 1,000 pieces upward, and of course in mass production. Also in the program: Kalei press nuts made of stainless material 1.4305.
